Emma Roberts said, "I think every little girl's dream is to be a mermaid or see a mermaid." With this in mind, I create mermaid-themed fabric collages and banners. Like my other fabric assemblages, they are formed from 100% fabrics, old and new, which are artfully combined and then sewn together by machine as a crazy quilt patchwork might be: raw edge applique. All of my Fabric Collages are created using recycled materials such as vintage Hawaiian shirts and textiles. Each collage is behind glass, in a wooden frame, which has been painted in a shabby beach style using a compatible color to the collage. Collages are first designed, then machine-sewn as a crazy quilt patchwork might be. On the reverse of each collage, I list what each scrap of fabric came from, ie; men's Hawaiian shirt, old sundress, boys swim trunks, etc. Each is dated and numbered on reverse and signed on the front side. Collages have a Beach, Islands, or Hawaiiana theme. Collages sell for $1.50 per square inch (image size). Therefore, an 8 X 10" Collage sells for $120; a 11 X 14" Collage sells for $230, etc. Actual Priority Shipping to your zip code with Delivery Confirmation will be assessed at time of shipping (insurance optional).

The fabric collages in the COTTAGE series are based on my love for cottages, homes, family, children and gardens. Each collage is created using fabric snippets of this and pieces of that. Most often used are vintage fabric scraps, "cutter" textiles and embroideries, hankies, and assorted pieces from the past. I assemble the chosen pieces, creating a pleasing picture. After I am happy with my design, then I machine-sew the elements together, similar to how a crazy quilt is produced. Each collage is in a wooden frame behind glass. The frames are painted "shabbily" by me in a compatible colour. Each collage is signed on front. On the back is the "recipe" for each collage which lists where each snippet came from. Collages sell for $1.50 per square inch (image size); frame included. Therefore, an 8 X 10 collage sells for $120; an 11 X 14 collage sells for $230, etc. Buyer pays for actual Priority Shipping to their zone including Delivery Confirmation.

Bonny Banners are created from scrap fabrics used in my collage work. I have a lot of small pieces that no one else (but me) would have a use for. People are always giving me their scraps. I prefer these to yardage as I get tired of looking at too much of the same fabric for too long. These banners are machine-sewn as a crazy quilt patchwork might be. I enjoy creating custom cards for friends and relatives using fabrics, ephemera, doo dads, etc. Cards are on quality cardstock: when folded, they measure 5" X 7". Each comes in an envelope and a cellophane wrapper enclosure. Let me create one for you as a Birthday, Sympathy, Thank You, Graduation or whatever occasion you wish to acknowledge. Each is truly unique and one-of-a-kind as I use just the fabrics I have on hand and once gone, they're gone. Each garment takes many hours and is created in my Cannon Beach studio with a lot of love, care and attention to detail. I start with a pre-owned garment and embellish using a variety of vintage scraps and fabrics. Bonny Beach Girl Bags are all created using recycled and previously-loved bikinis, bathing suits, swim trunks, etc. They are further embellished using beach-related fabric scraps which are applied collage-style.
